In 2017, several Lake County Wines were awardeded several “Best of Class” and Double Golds at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.

And there are so many more award-winning wines… come out and see if you agree with the experts! Find the wines that you LOVE!

Lake County features a relaxed and fun wine tasting experience.Wine Tasting in Lake County is an experience like no other. Lake County wineries pride themselves on the relaxed and friendly tasting experience in stunningly beautiful surroundings. But the wines speak for themselves. Here’s what James Laub of Wine Spectator says about Lake County, “…and the wines are damn good.”

Wineries are pulling out all the stops to provide a fun day for you the weekend of May 20 & 21, 2017!

Each winery has chosen a theme to help make Wine Adventure 2017 more fun. You can travel around the world to Italy (Rosa D’Oro), Spain (Laujor Estate), Hungary (Kaz Winery), the French Countryside (Steele Wines), Mexico (Don Angel Cellars), England (Chacewater Winery & Olive Mill) or Hawaii (Fults Family Winery.)

Besides great wines, you’ll find lots of music including live bands (Gregory Graham), DJ’s and even karaoke (Cache Creek). Search for pirate treasure at Brassfield Estate as they celebrate their Gold Medal winning wines, or try your hand at the “Sangria Luge” ice sculpture at Laujor Estate.

Travel back to time to the days of the Wild West at the “Twin Pine Saloon” or have a little crazy Viking Fun at Olof Cellars.

Farm animals help keep things running at Six Sigma Ranch & Vineyards.Looking for other playtime fun? Then “take me out to the ball game” and enjoy a day at the ballpark at Boatique Winery, or play giant Jenga at Shannon Ridge Vineyards and Winery. Meet the farm animals at Six Sigma Ranch and Vineyard. And celebrate man’s best friend at the tasting room of Smiling Dogs Ranch.

Enjoy your wines surrounded by beautiful art. The works of John Clarke will be featured at the exquisite Thornhill Vineyards tasting room.  Fore Family Vineyards  will be featuring work from some of the best of Lake County’s artists.

The Wine Studio is the place for Fine Wines and Fine Arts! Add your strokes of paint to the scene that will appear on their large art canvas during the two day event. LCWS will be pouring wines from Dancing Crow, R Vineyards and Sol Rouge.

And appreciate a “Country Stay in a Wine Way” at our newest facility, Stonehouse Cellars, where you can enjoy the hand-crafted Cabernet Sauvignon of Noggle Vineyard and Winery.

Whether you’re trying estate-raised lamb chili, paella, vegan chocolate mousse, street tacos (Wildhurst) or good, old-fashioned American hot dogs -  it’s not just a wine adventure – it’s a culinary adventure too!

Mt. Konocti as seen from Brassfield Estate.

Located in one of the world’s most bio-diverse locations, Lake County’s geography is dominated by Mt. Konocti – a sleeping volcano that is part of the Pacific Ring of Fire – and Clear Lake – California’s largest, natural freshwater lake and North America’s Oldest Lake.

Spring is in full bloom, powered by the wet winter of 2017. As great as the wines are, we invite you to soak in the breath-taking vistas – Lake County style.
